The Journal of Nutritional Science (JNS), an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Cambridge University Press, is inviting applications for First Editor vacancies across a range of nutrition research areas.
First Editors play an important role in maintaining the journal’s scientific quality and rigour. Responsibilities include assessing manuscript suitability, coordinating peer review, evaluating reviewers’ comments and contributing to the journal’s development. Editors also help promote the journal within their professional networks and contribute to special issues.
The journal is seeking expertise across diverse areas, including malnutrition and undernutrition, micronutrients, maternal and child nutrition, epidemiology, dietary patterns, mental health, community interventions, ageing, eating behaviour and nutrition policy.
Applicants should have substantial publication experience, including at least ten occasions as a corresponding or submitting author, a track record of peer review, and strong communication skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Successful applicants will join the Editorial Board, normally for an initial three-year term, and receive free Nutrition Society membership.
