As part of the celebrations marking the 80th Anniversary of the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS), IUNS is pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural IUNS Jo Hautvast Nutrition Leadership Award, with applications opening on 1 July.

Established in honour of Professor Jo Hautvast, the new award recognises individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and made significant contributions to the advancement of nutrition science and its application to improve health and well-being. The award reflects IUNS’s enduring commitment to fostering excellence and supporting leaders who are shaping the future of nutrition worldwide.

The introduction of this prestigious award is one of the initiatives commemorating 80 years of IUNS leadership in promoting nutrition science and international collaboration. Researchers, educators, policymakers, and professionals whose work has had a substantial impact at the national, regional, or global level are encouraged to apply.
