The 48th ESPEN Congress 2026 — the leading global meeting on clinical nutrition and metabolism — will take place from 5–8 September 2026 at the Estrel Congress Center in Berlin, Germany. Hosted by the German Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (DGEM), this year’s event will unite healthcare professionals, researchers, dietitians, nurses, pharmacists, and scientists from more than 100 countries to explore the latest scientific discoveries and clinical advances in nutrition care.
Under the theme “Nutrition is the Mission,” the Congress will highlight the crucial role of optimal nutrition in disease prevention, patient outcomes, and sustainable food systems — emphasising interdisciplinarity and collaborative care. Attendees can participate in a rich scientific and educational programme, including keynote lectures, expert symposia, poster presentations, and LLL Courses designed to advance professional skills and earn continuing education credits.
Abstract submissions opened on 8 January 2026, with a regular submission deadline of 8 April 2026 and a late-breaking submission deadline of 5 June 2026 for poster presentations. Accepted abstracts will be published in Clinical Nutrition ESPEN with a DOI, offering authors broad scientific visibility.
Registration is expected to open soon, with early bird discounts available. ESPEN 2026 remains a premier forum for shaping the future of clinical nutrition and metabolism.
